As you may have seen on our Instagram feed, my sisters and I recently hosted a baby shower for our very own, Tanisha Kipling! She is having her baby girl #2 due October 7th — so soon! {PS if you haven’t already, check out her maternity photos here!}
We were fortunate enough to host the shower over a delicious brunch at Mediterraneo on the Westlake Village Inn property. We love their outdoor patios and of course, their food! It is the perfect setting for a shower, and any small gathering at that — plus, it’s conveniently located right next door to Stonehaus in case any guests want to continue the party (which we may have:)!The nursery theme for baby girl #2 is floral, so we decided to use that for our baby shower theme. Plus, we also snooped on Tanisha’s Pinterest board to get ideas
First, in order to tie in the floral theme, we created our own DIY Flower Mart featuring the most beautiful flowers from the LA Flower Mart. And I’ll be honest, we did not get the flowers ourselves because we have the sweetest, most-talented aunt ever, who offered to drive down to LA at the crack of dawn that morning to pick up the flowers. She also helped with the setup and many of the arrangements including my own (I mean LBH, my flower arrangement skills are not up to parr;).
And BONUS, the flower mart plays as decor as well as a favor! That’s what you call “killing two birds with one stone ”
We also used our photo booth/album idea from Nicole’s baby shower. It’s a great keepsake for the guest of honor — plus, who doesn’t love a good polaroid photo sesh!?And finally, my younger sister Ryley, made this adorable DIY dream catcher for the nursery, but we also had guests write down a dream for baby girl #2.
